Christmas is BIG in Costa Rica. The decorations and pre-game warm-up start right around my birthday at the end of September. They don't celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving so nothing to stop them from going all out. Including fireworks. The fireworks' cannons have been going off pretty much non-stop since noon yesterday… we had to do SOMETHING. A reprise of our Feliz Navidad from a couple of years ago seemed appropriate, now that we have back-up: the Badgetts from New Jersey. They've spent every Christmas with us since our first here. We met them through the blog and fell in love with them. That has been a lovely gift. Hope your day was as lovely and peaceful as ours! Love from us to you.
