"Nicaragua’s Comptroller General has said that no public officials have been punished for corruption during the first 18 months of President Ortega’s term, and this showed an improvement in the conduct of government employees in contrast to previous governments… Continue reading here."
That Nicaragua. Always good for a chuckle.
P.S. Miguel in the comments offered us this. Don’t miss it!
Hola,
One good chuckle deserves another! Be sure to have your volume on. May have to copy and paste

Ok, THAT was funny!!!! I put it at the end of the post so no one would miss it – thank you!
Great video…especially for anyone recently having a birthday.
I love their logic, noone punished=no crime
I imagine that we have NO petty theft either as noone is convicted for stealing stuff under ….(Whats the limit, 400 dollars?)
I can’t remember the limit… I’ve heard $250-$500. Fortunately, everything I have it WAY more expensive than that. So anyone who steals from me will definitely go to jail. Whew! There’s a load off.
Silly people.
I’m not even going to comment on what’s going on here. Insanity. The whole world (well the leaders anyway) are certifiably insane.
Hey, when is R’s surgery?? Did he have it yet?? Wanted to offer my good wishes. Kayleigh had it done a year or so ago; same stuff. I don’t know that she had the mocos tho’. But yeh, one side closed from the DS, adnoids removed, turbinites done something to, nose straightened… and wallah! she could breathe. Well after all the awful packing was taken out and the gunk sucked out at her checkups… that was really gross. Sorry!!! 🙂 Anyway, good wishes to him and YOU.
Robin – spell check is hating me tonight. sheesh.
Hi Robin, Thank you for your good wishes!!! The surgery is Saturday 7am… I’m practically paralyzed with anxiety over here. “Paralyzed” as in keeping busy as anything so I don’t think which is why I haven’t blogged. That often leads to “feeling” and I can hardly breathe when I do that. It helps knowing so many people who had this surgery – it’s routine and will go without a hitch. But yikes. Ryan thinks he’ll be up and about the next day… how is the pain thing? I just want to be prepared. Will he need percoset strength or just Tylenol strength? He’s never been put out for anything.
I’m blogging today come hell or high water (of which there is plenty around here)… I’ll keep you posted!
It took me a few days (say 3 or 4 ) to go back to school when I had it, the day after my nose was pretty numb and I was weak due to anesthesia/not being really hungry/etc, surgery was in the morning, spent that night at the hospital…..out the day after…and a couple days home recovering
As far as I recall it felt as if someone pulled my nose for hours (which makes sense because thats exactly what they did ROFL)
I remember I got a few presents from my parents and Granda Ma after the surgery :)))
My mom was similarly scared shitless since ‘it was her doing’ that I got the surgery since she discovered what was wrong but even today (23 years later) she still boasts “had you not had it fixed you would not be able to run etc”
Moms will be moms
Thank you so much for your First Hand Reporting!!! Hearing how it was for you helps quell the gnawing pit in my stomach. He’s big and strong, that’s gotta help. He’s going today for his last Vitamin C IV and Hal’s going to talk to this doctor about pain relievers. Today’s doctor is not the doctor doing the surgery – the doctor doing the surgery is a traditional drugs-are-good doctor. Today’s doctor is a natural pro-vitamin therapy Linus-Pauling-advocate doctor. Trying to cover my bases, keeping busy so I won’t notice the pit…
