Driving in India is something else. Amazingly, there aren’t that many accidents (at least I’ve rarely seen them). It’s all very organic, the way people switch lanes or merge or make turns. It’s almost like people take the skills required to navigate through a crowded train station and transfer them directly to driving.
Thanks for this clip – it really struck me funny and I laughed till I cried. They must just get used to it, and that is the way it’s done. They would probably have trouble driving here!
Great video…..I know I won’t be the only one that wants a link to that one…Please post the site address and I’ll come back later. Again, a real gem……

IT’S NOT ME – IT’S YOU
Saratica – been getting error popups each time I bring up your blog page. The error says something about “Stack Overflow”. I get this on my desktop that runs Windows XP, my notebook that runs Windows Vista, another of my desktops at a different location that runs Windows Millenium (the error here actually kicks me out of Internet Explorer), and now on this borrowed notebook again at a different location that runs Windows XP. All of these use Windows Internet Explorer.
Thought you might want to know.
Hi John – I’ve written my typepad help about this and hoping there is an answer!!! If you use Mozilla browser instead of Internet Explorer, you won’t get that. Working on fixing it for internet explorer – sorry about that!
I only started getting that error when one of my memory chips died, getting rid of half the RAM I had in my computer, now with only 256 Megs……..totally pathetic for running XP I get that error, hopefully when the replacement chip arrives from the US it will go away
The stack overflow error should be fixed now. It was an Amazon script that I’d put in a side column. I took it out and IE works fine for me now. Hopefully, for you, too!
Adrian – if you click on YouTube in the lower right hand corner of the video, it will take you to the page where you can get the url address (true for any youtube video you see)! Have fun with it – too much!!!
Wow! I just got back from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, visiting my son and his family and the traffic there is much more frightening than this. They drive on the left at high speeds and I had many anxious moments thinking we were going to clip a bicycle rider or a pedestrian! Roger, my son, amazed me with his skill. They have only been in Dar for a year now, and are driving like they’ve lived there all their lives. I’ll stick to driving in the States, I think….safer for all humanity!

No “Stack Overflow” popup today. Looks fixed from this end.
Thank goodness!

Tanzania, huh? Now THAT would be foreign. And pretty exciting, it sounds! Maybe when I’m really used to driving in Costa Rica, I’ll branch out…
