Fascinating…I noticed the Ayme family of Tingo,Ecuador had the least amount of food with just really the basics yet had the LARGEST SMILES…just one of life’s simple lessons…
Yumm! That was (yes) a fascinating photo survey. I went back and looked thru it a second time with an eye toward how many family members seemed to be consuming the amount of displayed food.
Notable too was with some of the more frugal looking selections of foodstuffs and how fresh and healthy the chosen foods seemed to be. The family from Chad looked not to have much but those three sacks of beans/lentils/rice in the back would make for fuller stomachs than at first glance.
It was also particularly interesting to me to note who had bananas or plantains displayed in these shots and who did not. And the ratio of fresh food to processed food/foodstuffs was interesting to compare against the various cultures displayed, as were the junkfood selections noticed in a few of the shots of the families from the generally more developed areas.

Not countries, cities – the first in Germany, the second in England.
I wonder why they didn’t give the city for the California family who ate for like $160/week. How’d they manage THAT in CA???
